Life Groups

Learn and Grow at Rock Church

In Life Groups we grow together and serve together. Our Life Groups are all about authentic biblical relationships. They are small groups of individuals/couples who meet on a regular basis to mutually encourage each other in Christ. They are places to take what we know about Jesus and help each other begin applying that knowledge every day. Each Life Group has its unique personality, but all are built on the foundation of God’s Word. Our hope is that no matter where you are in life or on your journey of faith, you will find our Life Groups life-giving and encouraging.

Sunday Morning Life Groups

8:30-9:30am

Men’s Fellowship Group: Our focus is the application of scripture in our personal lives. As brothers in Christ, we challenge each other to move beyond “What does the Word say?” to “How can we practice the Word in everyday life?” Accountability, prayer, exhortation, and encouragement are all part of the process. Led by Glenn Chapman (#815-483-9531) in room F117. *

Wednesday Night Life Groups

6:30-7:30pm

Ladies’ Bible Study: Life Lessons from Ephesians (by Max Lucado): In Ephesians, Paul reminds us that Jesus is also longing for the day he will be united with the church—his bride in all her beauty. Paul’s letter celebrates the beauty of the church and gives us wonderful examples and overviews of a Christian life. Paul shows us how to walk worthy of Christ as we live our life for God. His focus on the beauty of the church reminds us that through salvation we become a part of God’s family: a place where we can experience true belonging. Please join other ladies as we study God’s Word. Led by Kristina Katke (#815-713-8786) in Room F114. *

Finding Freedom in Christ (Galatians 5:1 – It was for FREEDOM that Christ set us free): Through Bible study and discussion, discover the true freedom that Christ has graciously provided, and how to live them out in our every-day lives, including freedom from fear, poverty, negativity, depression, anger, guilt, and more. Together we will learn how to live by faith in Jesus and experience real victory in every area of life. Led by Shaun McGuire (#847-372-7854) in Room F115.*

Hearing the Voice of God: Every believer can hear the voice of God, but did you know the ability to recognize and hear God’s Spirit for yourself and others can be developed?  In this class, we will discuss the different roles and functions of the prophetic and the way God uses the gifts of the Holy Spirit today. Co-Led by Angel (#779-771-1173) & Mirian (#779-771-2066) Molina in room F112. *
